That was me. The boat is Little Buddy.
I was either going to or coming from Halibut fishing in Admiralty Bay. No luck that day, but I did get one last week![]()

Hi Joe & Ruth,R-Matey":14f5xx5l said:Tonite Lisbeth & I went to Bellingham and had dinner at Anthony's Home Port Restaurant. while we were sitting there I was looking out over the Marina and there was a C-Dory boat tied up at the dock. After dinner we walked down to the vessel and took a peek. It was a pre 87 Classic 22 ft Angler. No name on the side and not a registration number on the bow either
To our knowledge this 22' C-Dory belongs to the lady who is a marine biologist and maintains the aquarium which is located in the building just north of Anthony's. She uses the boat to collect specimens for her tanks, etc. Back when we had our 22' C-Dory we chatted with her a few times but haven't seen her since we got the 19'.
There's also another 22' C-Dory in Bellingham (green trim with full green canvas) docked north of Redden Marine. We checked on it a few weeks ago and the bottom is covered with slime. Looks like someone isn't using it & hasn't been around to maintain it either. It is registered. Sorry - a senior moment here but can't recall its name.

Thanks for the report on the 19-C-DoryR-Matey":1qfoasyx said:Hi Joe & Ruth,
I note you have a 19' C-Dory therefore you maybe the person/s to ask how well does it compare to the 22' as a sea worthy vessel?
Thanks from a 16' C-Dory and curious about a move up to a 19
Hello Blueback, We had our 19CD for 6 1/2 years. During that time there was several occasions then bad weather preceded the forecast and that 19 slugged its way through 4+ foot waves out in the Straight of Juan de Fuca. We always marveled at how sea-worthy she was. If you plan on moving up, you won't go wrong with a 19 CD.
