C-Dory Sightings

A beautiful, grey stripped 16' Angler motored east through Seattle's Montlake Cut today at 1 p.m. The couple aboard waved to my buddy and me, and looked to be having a splendid time on this Super Bowl Sunday. Later, we saw them head west, back into Lake Union. It's ironic that the last two walks with this same friend, in about the same spot, produced two C-Dorys for our viewing delight. Always a treat to see a C-Dory somewhere.

I have been looking at this boat as I drive by every day and thinking I would just love to run over to Bill Gates place on Lani for coffee every morning. Does any one know who owns it? Cheers

We saw SCOUT go around Orchard Point and disappear into Clam Bay (Rich Passage) two weekends ago. We were in our non-CD boat, so it is understandable that a wave got no response. I've never actually gone in to Clam Bay. I thought that it was some kind of top-secret Navy property. Maybe not?

Was heading into Russell Island off Saltspring on Sunday afternoon when a C-Dory was heading out. Didn't get her name but I think it started with "K". We waved to each other but just crossed paths.

Anchored up next to a nice couple with their dog and daughter at Portland Island Princess Cove Friday night, after seeing a 19 Angler that was fishing for Ling’s inside the Victoria breakwater as we headed did Halibut and Prawns Thursday.

Saw what looked like a 22 Cruiser trolling in San Pablo Bay outside the Rodeo Refinery today. Absolutely beautiful day you had.....no wind, flat water and a hot halibut bite. I hope you scored. I just watched you slow troll wishing I was out on the water today too.

Does this C-Dory belong to anyone here?

What's the story re this 29 C-Dory pictured with the Yanmar diesel and bow thruster? And can you tow it with a Ford F150 ECO?

John

To tow this C-Dory with an F-150.... maybe.

Claim for a 2020 F-150 - (The 3.5L EcoBoost® towing capacity is 13,200 lbs., making it the top dog for the 2020 F-150. When properly equipped, expect to haul up to 3,230 lbs. of payload capacity in addition to the trailer you're towing.)

I have found information from the Ford website that the new 2021 F-150 can tow 14,000 lbs. when properly equipped.

Are the water levels better this year? They were pretty high the past couple of years. The dock at Horseshoe Island was pretty much completely submerged, and there was some flooding at the Fish Creek Ramps. Looking forward to a little more time in Door County this summer, and plan to be up there the week of June 13th. Colby

As of last week, Lake Michigan was down 18" from last year. It's supposed to increase by 2" in June. At my parent's place on Lake MI the lower water level was obvious.

You made it to Sister Bay. The weather there looks nice. Enjoy your vacation.
P.S. The sink cover/cutting board you made us is working out nicely.

Saw this nice 22 Angler right close to the TyBoo in the Warrenton marina early this morning. I don’t know who the skipper is.

Here is the TyBoo ready to go sturgeon fishing.
