Does anyone use a kicker motor on the starboard side?

Thank you, I looked up the weights online and I saw there was a different weight for a pull start with manual tilt vs all electric. It seems crazy that the 9.8hp weighs basically the same as a 20hp.

It is beause they are the same 333 cu in. Block. The 9.9 will push your boat as well as the 20, unless you are able to swing a larger prop. Neither will plane the boat.

I'm only considering the 20hp because I already have it. In your opinion would it be okay to use? Would there be any disadvantages on using it?
I will be mounting whichever one I go with on the starboard side, because of the swim step on the port side. I'm mainly wanting a kicker motor as a get back opinion.

The only disadvantage might be a little more fuel consumption, and the weight on the Starboard side--having a couple of people, and perhaps moving some items to the opposite side, should balance the boat when at reast, and trim tabs work well when on a plane.

Kicker mounting on the starboard side thoughts. With all the cables mounting one on the transom does not seem possible. But I see guys are using a bracket that put you far enough behind the transom it seems possible. What bracket are you guys using for saltwater? Thanks.

Many use the TH Marine Mini Jacker. It can be found cheaper on Amazon. I had to shim mine using 3/4in starboard to clear the trim tabs.
