Fired! No April Fools...

In the course of about 24 hours, we have become unemployed, homeless, and are no longer commercial property owners. We closed on our home, studio building, and sold the business... to different people. Our net worth hasn't changed, but our holdings have. The Blonde puts it a bit differently: we weren't fired, we have put in our 90 day notice; we aren't homeless, we have one home now instead of two. We will stay on for 90 days to train the new business owner. It's been a busy week getting all these final details put together.

More changes to come, lots to get done, and some extended cruising planned. We are excited to begin this next chapter.

Our thanks to the fine folks on this forum who have given us guidance with our soon-to-be-built boat.

I'M JEALOUS...BIG TIME. You've done what other people only dream of. What a great adventure to look forward to and the mutual outlook you both have to begin it. Looking forward to your exploits, thanks.

Joan is right on -- congrats to you two -- and welcome to a new and wonderful world of freedom!! We're with Sensei -- looking forward to seeing you up in the NW this summer, kicked back, fancy free, and in your new 'home.' Hooray and we lift another toast to you this evening!!
 
I agree.... Soon you will get over all that Monday through Friday stuff and start to forget days of the week.... Yesterday I went with Fishtails out of Channel Islands Harbor....the ocean was beautiful, flat ...but all the fish were hiding... who cares...it was a fun boat ride...and I could not have done it if I were employed... my nieces and all think I am homeless...(I love it) kinda like being "King of da Road" .... You will really enjoy yer new boat... you can cruise at yer leisure now...
