Keep Up With Me, You Slackers!

I am having a hard time just keeping up with reading the new post. It seems there were around 100 from Saturday night to Monday morning and 12 was by Pat.

I drink at least one cup of coffee and try for two cups every morning.
I eat one square of dark chocolate at noon.
I drink at least one dark beer at night and try for two.
In addition, I will add at least one post on this site each day and try for two.

The first three items are for my physical health, the last will be for my mental health.

Dave-

Your story sounds a little familiar!

As much as I read and post here, it's getting to the point where I can't honestly read everything throughly. Some posts of mostly a social nature or about regional gatherings on the other end of the country have to be read hurriedly or not at all.

Good thing we all don't post two or more times a day!

Joe.

Is there going to be some kind of prize for the first guy to hit 2000 posts? (I am about ready to start the sturgeon season, so even a bunch of B~C's smelt would be OK.)

Pat, I am shocked you didn't return a jab for my cabin light/AirHead joke a couple weeks ago. That was real funny.

AstoriaDave,

I've been viewing the Bartender site almost as long as I have been a C-Brat. Such great boats. They seem almost indestructible. I saw a 24 footer in Cordova that had been sunk, then raised, patched and fitted with a 10 horse diesel. The guy lives on the boat and uses it to travel Prince William Sound at about 7kts.

I wish I had just a small piece of your craftsmanship.

Pat

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not a fine woodworker, and started with a frame kit, to get past all the lofting and molding stage.

They are wooden boats, and can suffer all the ills inherent with the material. Mine uses 3/8 Okume for hull and topsides exterior, which is surprisingly rigid.

One down side relative to boats like C-dories is all the framework in a wooden boat -- you lose a lot of interior space. Hard to beat the efficiency and open space in a C-Dory. We see them often down here. Tyboo is homeported across the bay.

Slacker here,

This is the Knotty C's 87th post and most are from Dee not me. So I'll do my best to keep up although it's going to be tough to catch up with Pat.

Dave, enjoyed looking at the pics of your boat's progress. It's going to be a very cool boat. It looks a lot like the original fishing dories.

Last year at the Cathlamet gathering we were treated to "Knot Yacht" a wooden owner built boat that was featured in the magazine Wooden Boat. Knot Yacht's photo album is next to the Knotty C's on page 14 of the albums. Check it out.

Keep us posted on the progress of your boat.

Don

When you gonna do it?

Charlie

If you respond to this, you will have done it!!

Bad news, folks. There is a maximum post limit for any individual member, and yep - it's 2000. When that number is reached, Homeland Security will confiscate the prolific poster's boat and moor it in an undisclosed location. TyBoo ain't takin' no chances.

whew, that last bag over four year old freezer burned smelt is safe, I thought I may have to part with it there for a bit

Charlie,
Apparently our local paper decided to disclose his location. On Apr 17 he will be in Spokane and If I were willing to pony up $500 I could attend a reception and for another $2100 I could get my picture taken with him. Or I could spend that on trim tabs and radar. Tough call.
