Let's go Hunting with Dick Cheney

You know what I really find ironic about this whole thing is that, because of the recent coal mining disaster, companies must now notify the feds within 15 minutes of a calamity occurring. And yet the Vice-President can cut loose on one of his comarades and we don't hear about it til the next day. It seems to me like a new piece of legislation is in order.

If he's this careful with a shotgun, just think of what he could do with control of the entire U.S. military. One heart beat away....

Maybe I am out of line, but I come to this site to discuss C-Dory Boats and learn about boating and such. I don't think this is the place to get into political discussions one way or the other .. unless it relates to boating. If one of us wants to talk about an incident on our boats that was reckless and can be a lesson to all, fine. If you observed an individual handling his/her boat in a reckless manner, lets talk about it. But if I want a political discussion, I dont think this is the place. Just my 2 cents.

yeah, its not like he drove a car and young female campaign worker into a river and then went home to sleep it off for 12 hours before calling the police......

Ahhhhhhhaaaaaa come on, its kind of funny as long as Mr Whittington will be okay. I dont understand why he or his handlers let this go unreported for so long but he must have been mortified!

Also, anyone who has listened to Leno or Letterman in the last 2 nights and hasnt gotten a chuckle is not telling the truth!

I come to this site regularly to learn more about C-Dory boats, and to keep in touch with some of the wonderful people I've met while using mine. I don't come to hear about politics, religion, or the like, or to hear those who question such misuse being told to "lighten up".

Believe me, I have LOTS to say on controversial subjects, and am capable of making all kinds of references to things which I find to be humerous. But, I refrain from doing so here out of courtesy and respect for others, and would appreciate receiving that same courtesy and respect in return.

What say we put an end to this, and talk about boats?

Sorry to have offended anyone.
I posted this as comic relief- not politics.
This is the non-boating thread.
Again- if you were offended, sorry.

Greetings everyone,

Before folks get all worked up, please read what Tyboo Mike wrote when he created this forum.

Quote: July 29,2005

"We have added yet another Forum to the C-Brat site. This one is called That's Life, and is there for sharing and chatting about anything and everything concerning life in general. Family, friends, church, a bad day at work, a good day at work, the happiest of life events, the saddest of life events, or whatever is on your mind that should rightfully be shared with friends. It doesn't even have to involve boats!"

"As is our tradition, the only test that needs to be applied to the content is how it comports with the Just Be Nice request. Those three words have worked so well for so long, that nothing more needs to be said about it here."

"This new forum is visible only to registered members of the C-Brats Online community who are logged on. Visitors cannot read, reply, or even find it. Keep in mind, though, that while it is not public, neither is it private. New posts to the That's Life Forum will not show up in the Most Recent Topics list at the top left of the home page, but they will be displayed in the list when you click to view posts since your last visit."

"This is something that has been on my mind for quite a while. The C-Brat community has become so much more than just a bunch of boaters. Having experienced first hand the value of friendships made through this group, I feel it is healthy for the soul and good for the world to encourage those who wish to discover it for themselves to take the time to do so. Many of us share things on the General discussion board - and there is nothing wrong with that - but many more may feel it is not appropriate to stray too far away from the connection with C-Dorys. We have all been taught while growing up that we need to stay focused and on topic. Well, we are all grown up now, so I think we are capable of handling this."

"Have fun, enjoy this new room in the Pub, and find out just how wonderful the people here can be."

"Thanks,"

"Mike"

If anyone doesn't want to see this kind of post, just don't open any threads from the 'Thats Life' forum.

Please note in paragraph two where it says the only test of content of this forum is the "Just Be Nice" rule.

I think your reply is the reason that this site may not be the place to discuss politics and religion. I did not sense that anyone was trying to force you to think any way. I know I was not offended by the post. I just made the point that this is a boating site and maybe we should stick to boating. No one is asking to modify your world to fit into mine or anyone elses. Jeeze. My point is lets stick to C-Dory boats. I do admit that when I opened up the thread at the beginning I did not notice the forum it was in. Believe me, I will not open up this forum again. Lets let it go!

I edited myself out of this one, too much heat for me, I will just keep the old trap closed in the future.

Man I need to go fishing 8) 8) 8)

I'm so stinkin' lucky. Got me one of them newfangled machines with a delete key. Cool. Being such a tender soul, just about anything other than C-Dory's and their cousins makes me reach for that rascal (painted red with Mrs. D's nail polish). Sometimes I miss

You know guys and gals.... accidents do happen. Vice president or otherwise... so seeing that I am not a late night comedian all I can say for sure is,

If Dick and I go fishing on my boat (hypothetically of course) I'd ask him to check his shotgun at the dock. :smile

It's time to be thinking about getting the boat ready for the water... wife says I am a hopeless water freak... gotta love it... Later all... Butch

Well...the guy was a lawyer....who should have been pretty up to date on regulations and following proper protocol....which he has to do to be a successful lawyer.... he just missed part of the hunting safety protocol for coming back into the "hunt area" for this particular sport. I guess Dick is wrong for not having his lawyer stamp on him at the time. We get in big trouble down here if we have ducks in the truck...and not stamp in the wallet. And... even ... our VP of this great country of FREEDOMS should be able to go hunting....without his press "person" hanging about screwing up the hunt... or...the ablility to just shoot the .....$tuff with friends who are not evaluating his each and every move and word. I kinda liked the exact title of this thread..... I have been away for several days.... and I knew I wanted to open this one...rather than having to read thru pages of a GREAT BIG OL GOOD IDEA thread.... I also like the idea that everything is still here....for all to enjoy...or get offended over. WOW.... just take a look around you at the boat shows, the gatherings... the locations, the occupations, the DIVERSITY....of C-Dory owners.... That is one great omelet of life there.... WE are not a bunch of clones...we will not agree on every issue, we will agree to disagree on others, .... Man, I have missed yall over the past couple of days.

I did read that Dick has a duck hunting trip in Arkansas planed later in the year...... Wonder if we could get Hilary and Bill to make that hunt...?

Love Ya All.... mean it! :gift :love :beer
