Let's go Hunting with Dick Cheney

reading thru the posts ... wow some get pretty touche about things .... politictions are open season up this way and pretty well always will be thats the nature of their job ... for this forum "thats life" this is the place for the comments and discussion's .. the joke sure isn't about some one getting hurt, its more like when the top man or a boss screws up .. it puts them in the same boat as the rest of us peasants... wc :)

I'll admit that I was pleasantly surprised to see the original post on this topic. My impression is that my views are way to the left of the majority of the C-Brats and I thought it was bold to put something out there that would probably not be popular with most people likely to read it. I laughed out loud and passed it on to some of my nearest and dearest.

I can see why some would not find it funny. To me it's like TV -- if something offends (or bores) you, change the channel.

At the risk of picking the scab on this one, I cannot help but pass along something I just received in an email from a friend. If you don't think it's funny, feel free to not laugh.

"The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department issued a statement
today saying Vice President Cheney broke no law by shooting a
lawyer instead of a quail over the weekend.

A TPWD spokesman noted that, in Texas, lawyers are not
considered game creatures, and are thus not subject to seasonal
limitations or bag limits. It was further noted that lawyer
hunting was encouraged as the state is overrun with the pesky
creatures.

A local food critic said that, contrary to rumor, lawyers do
not taste like chicken, but rather like bovine dung which is a
major component of their composition."

Sad but true, Moose. I oughta know -- I'm licensed to practice law in Texas!

I got mine too.

However, I do have to admit, the first few times I was slow and I got frustrated with Harry because he kept getting in the way, so I blasted him a few times. After that he stayed out of my way.

got it on the first try. I like how at the bottom it say

" This game is a parody and meant for entertainment purposes only. We do not endorse the shooting of people or lawyers."

They recognize that lawyers and people are different animals."

I have an excuse for taking more than one try to get my certificate. I had to shoot left handed because my right hand and wrist is in a splint. Now I am not saying, I don't believe you but I only see one certificate on this site. :wink :wink

Has anyone shot Harry six times, just to see what happens?

Dave-

Yup, shot Harry instead of the quail just to see what would happen!

Killed the dude!

But decided not to tell anyone, as that option was suggested and apparently an option in high political circles.

Joe.

I just received this by e-mail from my lawyer spouse:

Cheney leads effort to attack lawyers

Kingsville, Texas (AP) -- Impatient with stalled efforts to close the courts to litigants, the Bush Administration literally fired the first shot in its groundbreaking "No Lawyer Left Standing" initiative. Vice-President Cheney, hunting on a private lawyer ranch near Kingsville, Texas, bagged an impressive buck (Harry Whittington, UT Law '50). Under the new program, hunters may take one white shoe in-house lawyer or three outside lawyers daily. There is no limit for trial lawyers. "We've just got to thin the herd," said the Vice-President. "We've tried tort reform and caps on damages, but people are still suing." Cheney added, "It's easy and fun. In Texas, you can shoot in almost any direction and hit a lawyer."
