Dave,

Really good write up and pix. Glad it all turned out well. Good planning and good execution.

Glad everyone finished safe.

Thanks,

Now we have to get a 35 foot ramp on a 25 foot trailer. As I said in the beginning of this, we had someone above helping because had we not had the problem towing with my boat we would have been here when boaters were using the ramp. If we were lucky enough to have docked between other boaters, we would have tied up the boat ramp for hours getting it loaded. There would have beem some unhappy boaters waiting in line. As it is all boats were in and the only people at the dock were us and some spectators.

We hooked up the ramp to the truck & trailer and pulled it as far up the boat ramp as we could (about a third of the way out of the water).

When the P/U tires started spinning we hooked up the track hoe and lifted the front and pulled it the rest of way out of the water.

To speed things up we hooked up the truck and trailer to the track hoe and pulled it the rest of the way up the boat ramp.

It was obvious we couln not get the ramp on the trailer so we cut ten feet off the front.

We loaded the long portion on the trailer and put the short piece on top of it. By the time we were finished it was dark.

We spent the night at Alex’s warehouse a few miles east of the boat launch. The next morning we noticed the ramp was loaded a couple of inches to far on the left so we pulled it over with my P/U.
