Well, these are some interesting replies.
As with everything, boat naming seems to be "different strokes for different folks".
I can see our "somewhat clever" names were generally not popular - not even those suggested by the kids. Of course we would not have picked one of those, but I guess the cute things kids do are really appreciated only by their parents.
Hookinhalibut, I got a kick out of C-weet! It's not for us, but that's a great name.
Mark, yeah - I need to have my username changed, but have been waiting until we came up with a name for the boat.

We did try out Gottaboat, but it didn't feel right.
Dotnmarty, Blue C is also a great name, but we decided early one that we didn't want to follow the C in the name convention. I mean no offense to those who used the C -- I actually think it is great tradition. But, it's just not for us.
Seabeagle, I am way too superstitious to name a boat S.S. Minnow!
Speaking of superstitions and names I would never choose: I saw a boat recently which had it's name painted on - upside down. The name? "Don't Panic!"
For those that suggested waiting, I think we have waited long enough. I did the math, and we are actually coming up on a year and a half since buying the boat and pondering names (my how time flies!), so I think we have waited long enough. Besides, going out in an unnamed boat is bad luck!
After all, who wants to get on the radio and use their registration numbers?
But I really do appreciate the replies; it is great to get other opinions and ideas. Please keep them coming. We'll probably decide in the next week or so, so I can get the letters ordered.
And then, I'll then no doubt post question on how to put them on -- and get them straight. For those that saw my crooked window thread (crooked boat, actually, according to Akroyd and others), you'll understand how important it is that I get the letters on straight.
