New Boat started today

I recieved a call from Jeff at CDory today, he just wanted to let me know they are starting on my new CDory!! :D I thought it was great that they gave me a call just to double check a couple things, the color of both the hull and the interior. I think it shows great customer service, and confirms that I made the right decision in choosing CDory. I am so excited along with my family for this new boat. We can not wait to get it out on the water. There will be a couple minor changes from previous 22 cruiser's. But I won't let them out of the bag just yet. I guess it will be a surprise for those going to the boat show, as that will be my boat. But I can tell you they are cool. What I will disclose for now is the basic options that I went with.

High top
Black trim ( to match suzuki motors)
Charcoal interior
Suzuki 115 ( I know this change has already been discussed)
Trim tabs
Swim step
Tall radar arch
Wallas
Floorboards ( standard but essential for my intended uses)
Fresh water washdown
EZ loader tandem, disc brakes, l.e.d. lights

Other than that everything is standard. I'm going to wait a bit on the canvas, to save some $ for now and get my downriggers mounted to see if I would like anything special when I do get it. Probably going to stick with the electronics I have for now.( garmin chartplotter/fishfinder, DSC VHF from West marine) And upgrade to the radar full meal deal in about a year. Of course it will have the new gas tank cover's with the slit's in them to see your fuel level, and the new knob through the table foot that helps lock the table in place. Now comes the hard part waiting the month and a half until after the boat show when I will finally get to take her out. And of course picking a name. I kind of like C-Quest. But Still undecided.

Can't wait

Sounds nice. I bet the black will look sharp with the motor.

Why the tall radar arch? Just wondering. I went with the short one and got the rocket launchers. Look in my album to see what it looks like. :thup

I will tell you why I like my high arch. Its great to tie and stick things under, like the inflatable kayak and the shrimp pot bouy. its also easier to get the crab and shrimp pots down with out going out on the side. i also have four rocket launchers on the side and plane on adding two more. I feel that the low arch just cuts you off from the roof.

Tom nailed it on the head, tall arch to accomadate a dingy or inflatable kayak underneath it, and it will have the rocket launchers on the side as well. This was suggested to me by Jeff at Cdory. I guess with the shorter arch and a tall top it's a little tight for an inflatable. I have been out on Toms Cdory and liked his setup too.

A couple of regular hard single kayaks also fits under the tall arch. Us short people can even stand in the cockpit and not hit our heads on them.

Hi, Sark

Congratulations on your Laying Of The Keel Day. Now the waiting begins. Ive found solitaire on the computer and doing the trim on the house to be useful time consuming diversions. Clean out the garage, Read War and Peace.

I like "C-Quest". Unique color combination. I've got a Suzuki 115 and like it fine, too.

Thanks all- I'm super excited. I just thought black would look sharp with those sweet suzuki motors. I have a Suzuki 140, and 9.9 now, and they both have been awesome motors. So it wasn't hard to make the decision to stick with what has worked so far. Plus the wife really liked black so that sealed the deal. And charcoal on the interior because I fish alot and have two young boys. After having white on my previous two interor's I wanted something easier to clean.

BLACK is great, really shines when polished. My 20 year old Angler is black and looks like new. At the landing everybody thinks it a new boat and it takes about an hour to get out of the parking lot.

Here's a trick for keeping the interior nice when you take the kids fishing, make the dinet into a couch and cover the cushions with a cheap, nice, sheet from the discount store. enjoy the wait :)
may the marine reading material in your restroom never run out
