Hey Bill, thanks for packing the B~C pictures over to the new pub. How about a lesson on picture posting in the FAQ section? Looking good

I'd like to post some of my 16 Cruiser pictures, but can't figure out how to create an album.

Welcome, Chuck.

I'll have albums ready for posting hopefully by tomorrow - currently, the premissions are set so only I can post to them. This is being done so I can verify everything has made it over from the owner albums on MSN.

Unfortunately, only the photos will be making it over - bringing over the descriptions is simply too large a task for one person.

Take a peek at your album tomorrow - you should be able to add to it.

Bill

Hey Admin (DaNag I presume):
Congrats on the site and thanks for all the work! My album transferred and it's all there. Now, I need to figure out how to move pictures around but don't seem to be able to. Ya'll have got a lot of codes and terms I'm not familiar with so please bear with those of us that don't have the required knowledge to comfortably function in this enviroment. Looking forward to learning as we go along.....

Thanks Bill- When you get things set up for us, I will add comments for my photos. You have done a great job!!!

I have 4-5 other photos under the ID of yup_urs2, I can't find those (don't know where to look as yet) if you come across them please add them to the Fishtales album-- thanks

Bill- Thanks for all the good work and continual problem solving in setting up the new site. One thing I noticed is that the photos in the cabin and interior photos are not in their original order from the old Tech site. This makes no difference in single, stand alone photos, but sequenced or progressive photo essays are very much out of order. Looks like the scan, copy, and transfer order was different than the original pattern. I copied some text for about a dozen photos and put the text with the right pictures, but then hesitated to do any more until you decide how to deal with this. I'll be happy to order up my photos if you can tell me how. I'm hesitant to transfer any more text in case the copy process has to be done all over from scratch which would result in losing the text I've already transferred. Thanks! Joe.

Yeah Joe, you got me...

The bad news, as you noticed - the tool I used to populate the photo albums added them in alphabetical order, not exactly ideal.

The good news - the order within an album is easy to change. If you open up an album you own, each photo has a drop-down box with several options - one of them is "move", and you can select a new position rather easily. You can also move a range of photos. The prompts are pretty self-explanatiory once the "move" window is displayed, but let me know if you have any questions or problems.

Bill

Bill-
I was able to go to the old site and transfer some pics over. They were in the Southern California album. I like the way this system works- thanks

Bill- The photos I am referring to are in the Tech portion of this site and not my own album, so I don't have access to the menu/controls to re-order them. Joe.

Joe - still working on a permanent solution to this so that all registered folks can work in the tech and cruise photo albums. For now, I've got to grant access on a one-by-one basis, but added you to the list. Anyone willing to work around here ain't gonna be held back by me...

Bi8ll- The dialogue box doesn't appear below the pictures of mind (or any other in the Cabin and Interior Album. Is there something else I have to do? The boxes appear on my own Photo Album. Joe.

Sorry, Joe - things should be working now for you (and anyone else who is logged in) for all tech albums, and all cruise albums.

In order to protect the pics in these shared albums from accidental deletion, folks will need to send a request to Mike or me if a photo needs deleting. Anyone logged in can add photos, modify the text, or change the order in which they are displayed.

Bill (Da Nag)

Bill- Thanks! I ordered up my photos. If you want me to arrange any of the others in that album or any other of the Tech albums, just ask. Joe.

Hey there Bill. I have this great photo album of C-Dory pics that I gave to the factory for the slide show they ran at the Boat Show. It would be cool to add it to this site for people to see.
My ? is this. should I send you the disc and let you add it or is there some way for me to up load it myself

Hey Roger,

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but you already gave me one of those and...I can't find it. Looked all over for it yesterday.

Anyway, you bet - let's get those fine photos on here. A few options:

- Are you going to be at the gig next week? If so, bring me a CD.

- If you have a broadband connection, I can set up an album, and you can add them yourself. However, if you're on a modem, this might take way too long, but could still be done.

- You can mail me the CD

Lemme know what works best for you.

Thanks!

Bill,
I am connected via DSL so if you want to set up a album I can attempt to add pics to it. :?: we will see if I can do it...lol...

Bill
I really like the ability to go to the page for all posts since your last visit. :D Is there any way at all that you could set up a page for pictures since your last visit???? :smilep
Keep up the good work and see you at Cornet Bay this weekend

Now then, I don't know if this makes me a nerd for discovering it, or a dork for not knowing it, but whatever it is, it's cool. When displying individual pictures in the albums, if there is a little hand for the cursor when you mouseover the pic, you can click it for a larger sized image. It only works for photos that were reduced in size by the Gallery software on here when loaded. I was just looking at the layout drawings Les put in of his bus, and I could have sworn that one of the notations said "Piano Cabinet". I was studying it real hard, because one is naturally surprised to find a piano on a motor coach, and sure enough, when I clicked my deal, the picture got bigger. Yep, it's a piano alright. Right next to the espresso bar, and just forward of Dusty's state room.
