Questionable Transom - seeking advice before purchase!

I would contact a fibreglass boat repair place in Rupert or PG and ask what the average complete transom repair/replacement is and budget it in. Given the holes in the transom and age there is a good chance it will all need to be replaced. I have a friend with a 22 of that vintage here in Victoria but he wants a lot for it, I think he just sunk 7k CAD into the dual axle trailer. His transom looks a lot better than this one.
 
In the Sensei photo album go to transome repair to see what was done to the Sensei. It was a total transom replacement with all new balsa core and new interior fiberglass.

Really? is a term I only use for friends and people I know. That must be a culture or age thing. Never heard it thought of as derogatory.

he was offering it at $7K without the motor (a 70hp). lots and lots of work and many dollars to basically rebuild a shell. looks like a hole in the water to me- but if you are so inclined....
