Read it and weep...

Moderator: If this can be moved to the "Oil is Here" thread we can keep all of these together and not create too many places to put things related.

Thanks

A complete bleed-out of the well is to horrible to comprehend. Some of the people in the Panhandle are in denial.A small marina operator just opened an oyster bar and said the spill would be a" non event". A fishing pier operator thought it wouldn't be too bad. They probably have the right attitude because they have no control over the outcome anyway.Good luck to everyone.

This possibility was discussed by the folks I visited with in Texas. There is a good likely hood that this has occurred. Bill--any comment from geological aspect.

I agree, probably all of the articles should go on one thread--but we have different threads going often--at least link this thread.

The reality is that although there is oil on the beaches, and severe impact on the fishing industry, oil industry, and wildlife, the gulf coast has many features which are deserving of visitation in there own right. Oyster bars should continue to sell oysters; they may just come from some other areas and not be as safe or tastey as the Apalachicola variety.

Sorry...no can do. Current software allows us to split threads, but not merge.
