This possibility was discussed by the folks I visited with in Texas. There is a good likely hood that this has occurred. Bill--any comment from geological aspect.
I agree, probably all of the articles should go on one thread--but we have different threads going often--at least link this thread.
The reality is that although there is oil on the beaches, and severe impact on the fishing industry, oil industry, and wildlife, the gulf coast has many features which are deserving of visitation in there own right. Oyster bars should continue to sell oysters; they may just come from some other areas and not be as safe or tastey as the Apalachicola variety.
