Removing the alcohol stove REPLACING with Wallace

Running a Wallas stove for heat without a heating lid or without the lid in the down (heating) position will eventually destroy the electronics by thermal transfer. Please don't do that, since a thermal drive fan will not solve that problem.

The newer (post 2006) stove/heaters have lids that change lid fan speed to match combustion level, so they get very quiet when running on low settings. The new fans get quieter every day and now have well over 20k hours life expectancy.

Thanks for using Wallas.

I use one of those little single burner butane stoves, two different 1 lb bottle propane stoves, several DIY alcohol stoves, two white gas stoves (MSR and Coleman) but the Queen of the House is my Bremer Sea Swing that uses the one pound bottles is fully gambled (and is movable from mount to mount). Some day I will find one with wither a kerosene or a white gas burner (there is a Sterno model also). If you can find one under $200 in great shape with all the parts it is a buy. At one time I had a CNG stove/oven on a Cape Dory 36, safe but a hassle to get the SCUBA type bottles filled. None of these stoves needed electricity so they always work!!! Bob
