Well, today I am about to head out the door for the drive down to Overlake Hospital to get a new hip. my surgery is at 07:30 this morning.
I will be off the net for a while, see you on the other side ....lol....

Whoa! Good luck with that one! I hope you didn't shop around the internet for the best price. Some repairs are best left to the professionals.

All the best, Roger! We will be watching for progress reports.

Hmmm - I could never get a good gelcoat match after a major repair like that.

Hope all goes great for you!!! :D :D :D

Good luck, you should check out adding an optional rod holder mount...I think it comes with the outdoorsman package

Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Jim & Joan

Do what they tell you and you'll be just fine. All the best to you Roger.

Good luck Roger! Everyone I know who has had a hip replacement only wishes that they'd done it earlier. You'll be back up and going in no time.

Good luck on the surgery--what not taking the lap top to the hospital--nothing like good ole C Brats to act as a diversion!

Take care

Have a speedy recovery

I wonder if they use one made in Indiana (Zimmer, DuPuy, ...)

Roger-

Good Luck!

I've had that done already myself. :smiled

Did you get the Cabela's or Bass Pro Model?

Joe. :teeth :thup

Roger,

Prayers for the best success. BTW, you might want to sneak in your cell phone, put it under your pillow and on record so you will know what you really said after the anesthesiologist has you count backwards from 100

:rose :hot

Don't forget to ask how far you have to stand from your compass from now on.

Roger, Hope the surgery went well! When you are back up and about, give me a call and we'll go up to the Conway Pub to indulge ourselves on a generous serving of Oysters.

Just heard from Roger. He's recuperating at his Dad's place on Camano Island and at this time doesn't have internet service. So thought I'd let the Brats know that the surgery was successful :D :D :D

Yep, he called me too and sounds great as usual as he interjects his infectious laugh in the conversation. He confirmed that soon we will be able to make the Conway Oyster run together! :smilep

Good Luck Roger!
I have two new knees and they work very well for me. Should have had them replaced 5 years ago.

hey ya'll
thanks for all the well wishes
it has been a month now and the recuperation is going good. I have graduated from Physical Therapy and the walker. now on crutches. still need a higher chair with arms so going to restaurants is a little challenging.
So Dave S, when ever you are ready I am. lets try to get together sometime after the 5th of Dec. Oysters sound real good to me.
I am glad I got this done. except for the usual surgery pains I am totally without pain in the hip. as they say, wish I had done this years ago.
now I need to figure out how to pay for this. my Insurance is not to good.....lol.... any one need a nice cruiser?????
