Also, the photos can be right on your computer or mobile device to insert into a message rather than having to be already on the web.

Videos need to be previously uploaded to any of many different sites to embed, but the process is just as easy.
 
Looking forward to it! Will the upgraded site support secure (https) connections now?

For me that's the biggest pain point- my browser often forces https attempts when clicking on c-brats links, resulting in a broken page- I have edit the url each time.

Plus, added security is a good thing in general.
 
Everything is still on schedule. We're 48 hours away from the new site! Expect the site to be unavailable starting at 8AM PST on Wednesday, September 3. We're uncertain how long the migration will take, but it will be several hours at a minimum. Check back in later in the day.

This thread and this post will be front and center when the new site goes live, but for those of you seeing this now - you might check out the video below ahead of time. As mentioned previously, everyone will need to reset their password when the new site goes live. Nothing prevents you from using the same password you are now, but the procedure in the video below is mandatory. You won't be able to login until you've completed it.

As mentioned in the video and many other places - admin@c-brats.com is the email to use should you encounter any issues. Both Mike (TyBoo) and I will receive emails to that address and one of us will take care of you.

This seems like as good a place as any to post a reminder that there is a "Tip Jar" at the top left of the Home page to keep the site going. If you haven't jangled the tip jar in awhile, please consider doing so. :D
 
It feels a little like saying goodbye to an old friend.

This place is beat up, hanging on by a thread, a veritable dumpster of ancient code and hacks.

However, it's our dumpster. It's treated us well for over 20 years. Yep - born on October 24, 2003.

Put your seat belts/life preservers on. A new C-Brat era awaits. :love

2003, the same year our CD22 was "born". Thank you and everyone else that contributed to this site over the years. It has been a godsend for specific and general information about CDs, life, and living with them.
