We met Patty's nephew's family (nephew Erick, his wife Sara, 2 year old son E.J. and Sara's sister Laura) at HIlton Harbor Saturday morning for a day cruise to Matia Cove. Five adults, a 2 year old, and one scruffy dog on board! Got the hook set, then hot dogs and potato salad. After lunch I ferried everyone to shore, we walked to Rolfe Cove and back, then time to get them back to B'ham. Erick took the helm on the way back, who knows, maybe a future C-Brat at some point.
David met us at Hilton Harbor on Alyssa Jean, and then we motored over to Chuckanut Bay together, lots of boats anchored there, mostly sail boats. Slept soundly that night! We anchored up and David rafted, we had a wonderful flank steak dinner on board, and then David headed back to Guemes. We had a nice leisurely Sunday breakfast on board, back to Hilton Harbor - gas at the fuel dock was $4.85, 75 gallons, ouch! We got Daydream cleaned up, we really have the drill down at HIlton Harbor now, then we came back to Birch Bay, where we are right now, will head back down to the "real world" a bit later this morning. Think once again I will go in to work late so I can leave early! A glorious weekend, the weather we are having is incredible, just hope it holds for the 4th of July weekend!
