I have a 2007 tomcat. I replaced one of the bilge pumps a couple of years ago and all seemed fine. However, we had a big storm a week or so ago, and I came down to check on the boat. It's always my habit to manually hit the bilge pumps just to see if there's any water. To my surprise, there was quite a bit of water that must've seeped in through the fish boxes, but never was pumped out by the bilge pumps. Long story short I went through all the wiring and connections in the battery compartment and followed every lead I could figure and I still can't figure out why I don't get 12 V power for the automatic side of each bilge pump. Again, they work on the manual side. Is there some other place or fuse that I need to look for? Based on the fact that they're both not getting power to the automatic side I'm figuring it has to be some kind of common connection or fuse.
I exhausted everything ChatGPT recommended so I'm coming here😎

If someone were to try to analyze your problem it would be helpful to know a few things about what your arrangement consists of. What brand and capacity are your bilge pumps and the wireing configuration. What does your automatic water depth sensor look like including wireing. I would be helpful if you could post a picture of each one. Have you done a continuity tests of the float/sensor wireing to insure there isn't a disconnect or to make sure power is flowing through connection points. Over the years I've experienced multiple bilge pump issues and it's usually something simple like a corroded connector with vertigre on it in an out of the way location that gets overlooked. Chat GPT can be very helpful if the right questions are asked. It can also misinterpret your questions and take you down the long road so to speak.
