US/CANADA BORDER WILL STAY CLOSED UNTIL...

I grew up in Canada, and love it up there. I have many good friends up there, and some of them are Canada/USA couples. This has been really hard for them.

I listen to Canadian news almost every night, and from the sounds of it from their side, there is little chance that the border will be open until maybe 2021 Fall, maybe longer. It will depend on how or vaccine program goes (percentage of population vaccinated) and on what our Covid numbers look like by then. Maybe have to be vaccinated to cross the border.

The Point Roberts Idea is great. I love it. Thanks for bringing that up Steve.

The wife of a US soldier tried to drive her family from Georgia to Alaska where her husband is stationed. She was overwhelmed by winter driving in Canada. A Canadian guy drove the woman and her kids 1,000 miles to the Alaska border.
