Traveling with boat is getting to be a PITA!

After seeing what happened to Lake Powell, courtesy of quagga muscles, I’m thankful that states are inspecting boats as they cross borders.

Bob, you’re welcome! Indeed it does have quite a history. I bought another copy of the book about Bert Loper, and I’m reading it now.

    New guy

Joe, while a CDory does have a sharp entry, there is very little dead rise aft of the house. You slow down, or you visit your dentist to get fillings replaced. That said, they’re wonderful boats. If you want to go fast in the chop, look for a Cutwater or a Sea Sport

    Torqueedo Cruise 4.0 TS- 8hp

I agree with Bob regarding gas, but recommend going with the highest horsepower the boat is rated to carry. I have a Gregor 14.5 with a Honda 15. At altitude, or with a load, it’s not enough to plane.

Check out my neighbors new boat

After reading a story about extremists on Whidbey, are they starting their own navy?

URGENT! Need trailer help and advice!

asuaviator, it happened to my boat as well. I did raise the bunks, and I’m pretty sure the damage happened at the ramp when loading in chop. I think it was Jody that suggested pads epoxied to the trailer frame, and believe that would be helpful as well.

Looking to buy 1990 22 Cruiser questions

Hi Pete, I looked at the ad, and the boat looks in fairly decent condition. It will be a slow boat if loaded for cruising, especially if at altitude. The electronics are dated, and might need replacing. The trailer, if not corroded should do the job, but a tandem axle for long distances...

Does anyone have experience with this product? Purportedly will not strip wax. https://www.jamestowndistributors.com/p ... etail/8132 I’m considering it for use on my Northern Lite truck camper.

    New Suzi!

Pat, you will like the Northern Lite. We have the NO 10-2. You will find that you’re going to feel top heavy as compared to the Alaskan. If there is too much sway, consider air bags to level it out, and a Helvig BigWig sway bar! Congratulations to you and Patty!

Overnight parking boat ramp and marina list

Bob, another option would be a spreadsheet. The problem with either a spreadsheet or a database is someone would have to take ownership to control input.

22 Cruiser, How To Get The Bilge Water Out?

Lloyd, the newer 22’s have a raised level floor over the cockpit. On the centerline it is approx 3” above the hull, if my memory is correct.
