09/29 - 10/01 - Sequim Bay, WA

Hey, great picture, not sure I can tell who they all are because of the glare from that head.

Sorry I/we couldn't make it. Kate is leaving for Maui tomorrow for a month and insists that I join her. And I had an 8 hour USCG Aux patrol today that I needed for my crew certification.

Will enjoy the next month of C-brats posts from our other island.

Yet another first for us was a fantastic plaque presented to each boat in attendance by Bill of Slow-N-Easy. He was not only gracious enough to design and procure the things, he and his wife drove all the way up from CA to deliver them. It was neat to finally get to meet these folks, and it was very nice to receive the plaques. Thank you, Bill.

Here's the best photo I could get of the plaque. I'm hoping someone with a (working) scanner will do it justice and repost.

Fellow C-Brats....Thanks for a great weekend on Sequim Bay. Pam and I felt really welcomed into the C-Brat clan. Wished we would of had a little bigger boat, so we could have stayed overnight, but the smallest C-Dory would be really hard to sleep on. The potluck and campfire were also outstanding. We hope to see all of you at the Seattle Boat Show....Wayne and Pam

What a great weekend. Thanks to Jon and Cynthia for putting on a good get together. And thanks to all who gathered at the dock, with and without boats. You all helped make it a special time. More tomorrow, pictures included. I am a bit tired right now, long day. :? Robbi

Another great gathering. Thanks Jon and Cynthia for putting this together again this year, good job. It was nice to meet all the new folks and to get reaquainted with all our old friends. The fire pit on Saturday night is coming to be one of my favorite times at these gatherings.
I came over with the 16 Angler for the weekend. I spent both nights on the boat. I wished Brock was hear so he could have given me a few pointers. All in all I managed and some how got a decent nights sleep. I'm not sure that would have happened if it rained. The canvas is in some disrepair.
Thanks to everyone it was a great time.

Fred

What a wonderful weekend! Thanks, Jon and Cynthia :D You folks are just so awesome. Friday night pizza, a delicious tasty latte Saturday morning, a nice fire that evening and more food. Wow! So nice to meet the new arrivals and say hello to those we already know. Just a great time!

I also posted some photos of the Sequim gathering Here. I tried to identify the boats at the dock and the member name. If you see a mistake, please let me know so I can correct it. I cleaned the boat and put her to bed, now I am going to hit the sack.

Thanks, Dave. Much better. And the pics are great, too. Good seeing you again this weekend.

And thanks, Ruth and Joe, for reminding me to thank those guys again for the pizza delivered to the dock. That was a real lifesaver for a tired old grandpa whose three kids had last eaten some stuff we picked up to go in Astoria.

And it's just too bad the new owner of the first Little Buddy didn't make it so Fred could have had three boats present with which he has had relations, and still have his big one at home. At his young age, he is pushing hard to catch up with Dusty.

I am so sorry that I was not able to make it over there this weekend. :cry we are right in the middle of digging out the potatos and putting into storage. :thup I had great thought of trying to get some sweet corn over but was just to darn busy to get away long enough to meet up with Pat & Patty to give it to them.
Thankyou Pat for trying to make it work.
It has been a tradition to have it there.
Hopefully next year will be a different story

Dave- Thanks for the beautiful photos. The setting, the dogs, the food, the people, the wedding, and of course the boats. Our printer is humming away making copies for our refrigerator. Hopefully Dotty and I will make next year.

Milehog- sorry to hear of your accident, that must feel about like a stout shot to the groin area. In an attemp to perhaps make you feel a bit better about missing the Squim thing, I'd like to report that the weather, food and company was poor, but it wasn't, it was all most excellent. There will be many more gatherings after the boat gets repaired.

What a great time we had, these C-Dory gathereings are just like a family reunion, cept, without the violence and bloodshed.

Well, our record is intact. We missed this party again. We almost made it. Couldn't get away on Friday night, so we got to Anacortes around 11:30 am on Saturday. It was after noon before we got fuel, so we decided to punt and just went to Olga on Orcas Island for lunch and then stayed at Cap Sante and cleaned up the boat on Sunday. It wasn't as much fun, but at least we finally got the boat work finished after the trip two weeks ago.

We did miss seeing all of you again. Maybe next year.

Great Gathering !! Many thanks to Cynthia and Jon and all friend old and new.
Posting pictures right now. Sorry have not had time to caption all of them so feel free to comment or add

PS. Think we sold another one at the ferry dock on the way home....

Having all sorts of trouble posting pics to the Sequim album. I tried 5 at a time and it "choked" tried a .zip file and it choked, tried one picture alone and it worked so I tried a second one and it came back with an error message which led me to a web site where they spoke a dialect of "computerese" which was beyond my knowlege.

They are BIG files but I did it before with the Bellingham pictures...

Bill or Mike, any ideas please...?

Cynthia and I had a blast as usual. As it turned out, Cynthia got the weekend off but it was to late to get the boat. Oh well, the camper wasn't a bad way to go.

Anyhow, what a great bunch of neat folks. Weekends like that make my Monday's a little easier. Thanks to everyone for a fabulous weekend.

Jon

And thank you both, Cynthia and Jon, for another great Sequim bash. Short for me, because I had to get back to the nest, but the pizza, latte, and breakfast were great - and seeing so many old friends more than worth the trip.

You did a winner again!!!!!

Dusty

Milehog -

I gotta tell you, we came closer to crying on the dock for your misfortune than we did for the wedding. What a lousy day that must have been. Very sorry for your troubles and for not getting to meet you.

Well...I must say what a trip! Thanks to the hosts and everyone else that we met there. Sure was a nice way to spend the weekend...beautiful scenery and most excellent people!!! :)

We had a nice time visiting (napping) in Discovery Bay on Saturday. The potluck was superb and the conversation around the fire was a very relaxing way to unwind. On Sunday we took our sweet time making breakfast and hanging out before we left for Port Townsend where we visited for about an hour. We then headed back to John Wayne Marina and buzzed back to Portland. Arrived home around 8pm.

Thanks again,

Crazy John Frazey & Amy too! :smiled
