11/15 - Snohomish River Cruise

If you are planning on spending the night (s) at the Everett Marina, I would suggest not using the guest moorage at the entrance to the Marine. This dock is in the river. The night tides are huge, with the added excitement of "stuff" coming down the river on the ebb. The high tides will find lots of logs, branches etc to wash down stream during the night ebb. I would suggest mooring at the inside guest dock, or at the newly opened part of the marina. You will spend a much more comfortable night.

Well, the weather forecasts that I can find only go through Friday - and increasing temps and decreasing chance of rain each day from Wednesday through Friday, so I guess it bodes well for Saturday!

I just signed up. The Everett marina is user friendly, and not to far away. If the water isn't too rough to come over Friday, I'll be at the marina for the night. I've been wanting to make that trip up the river.

Well gang the weather man say's its going to be clear on saturday. I will take a test ride on sunday to make sure that the river is not to high or blocked by junk in the water. i am going to take advantage of the high water to try a different route this year. Just going to add to the route a little. Be prepared for a lot of stuff in the water, logs, trash, dead chum, and who knows what else. Should be fun.

with the high water that is taking place on the Snohomish, will it be in good enough shape for a cruise by Saturday??????

HMMMMM :?: :?: :?:

well its thursday and the sun is almost out but the water is high. I'm going to take the long way to work and drive the river road to take a look. dodging logs is not a day of fun for anyone. So heres a idea, how many of you would be intrested in going over to langly for lunch and window shopping instead??? show of hands please.

Absolutely, a day out to Langley works just fine.

If it's Langley, we will try to meet up with you and welcome you to "our" island.

No passports, no packdrill.

Who knows, maybe some other members of the local brat population might appear... if they are not too busy dropping crab pots into Admiralty Inlet.

Wait a minute - yep, the crab pots are collecting dust - as are the fishing rods, downriggers, lines and lures - but only one of us has converted to green stuff only...

Well gang after looking at a river of chocolate milk flow by with trees, trash, punkins, dead animals, and all sorts of junk mixed in I think we will head over to langley instead. The river is supposed to drop over the next few day but that will only allow all the flooded wood and junk to be dragged into the river and down stream. So we are going to head out to sea and visit langley instead. any one Please hit the sign up page if you are coming so I can have a idea of how many c-dorys. thank you .

Well, it looks like we are going to beg off at this late hour...Crabby Lou is not ready, I have a bunch of stuff to do. David did cut the port side of the forward bulkhead out this week, and I disconnected a bunch of wires that were in the way. Have to get those reconnected to have cabin light, depth sounder, etc. - no time. And it is just a bit too much to take Daydream out for a day cruise any more. So we'll be aiming to get ready for the December Lake Washington deal. Sorry, have a good time!
