This is still my all time favorite photo of a C-dory! Just barely with steerage, coasting through glass still water. Its the photo that got me hooked on C-dory's. Now on my third!
Thanks Dutsty and I think C-Lou for the taking the picture!

That is a picture perfect scene alright. Thanks for sharing.

picture perfect serene....it's a dandy

I do like the C-Salt picture and
This is probably my most favorite C-Dory action shot

I think this one is mine.

Fishtales took this and I made it black and white.

Here's the REAL DEAL. Some of you more recent folks may not of seen the best C-Dory action photo ever (Ron / digger on the Snoopy-C):

ron2.sized.jpg

Not just another picture of a pretty boat in flat, placid, and unchallenging water, but a real action photo that makes the C-Dory seem alive, capable, and in need of some serious weather to challenge it's seaworthiness.

WHILE IT'S UNDERSTANDABLE THAT MOST FOLKS FAVORITE PERSONAL PHOTO MAY BE OF THEIR OWN BOAT, THIS IS A CLASSIC PHOTO UNEUALLED BY ALL THE PROFESSIONAL PRHTOGRAPHERS IN THEIR MONTHLY PURSUIT OF PHTOS TO SELL BOATS IN THE BOATING MAGAZINES. A FORTUITUOUS PHOTO THAT JUST HAPPENED TO BE PERFECT.

Look closely at this photo and see what you could change for the better. Any ideas?

HANDS DOWN THE BEST !!!

Joe

Superb idea for a thread! Tons of great pics around here, but I think this is my favorite...

Yes - great thread! These are darn fine looking boats, and their owners sure like to take them to pretty places. Roger, glad you like that shot of Otter -- El and Bill took it!
Best,

Perhaps the most exciting photos I've seen on this site are the two photos of Capt. D's vessel the Hunky Dory. (Maybe one of you nerd types can transfer them to this thread). (They are photo #'s 34 and 35 in the Hunky Dory Capt. D. photo album).

If I remember correctly his vessel only suffered very minor damage in the mishap, when the unmanned vessels anchor weld broke. Just shows how tough these C-Dory's are!

Dave, I believe these are the photos you wanted.

I agree with you. Some exciting photos.

PS; I am not a nerd, but decided to help anyway.

I'm with Sea Wolf. The Snoopy-C pic is way cool. I had it on my Desktop at work for about a year before I bought my C-Dory. The guy waving doesn't seem the least bit concerned...Priceless! Definitely my favorite Pic. I'd have to say the Red Fox Ice breaking pics would be a close second.

I have LOTS of all time favorite pictures. And they are mostly of our own boat(s), without apology. Here is one that always stays with me, taken through the mist by Bill Fiero on the Kettle River.

Your right on Joe. That is one very cool pic of the Snoopy C and frankly, I'm glad it's not me in the picture. I looked at the picture as you suggested, looking for something to change. Finally, it came to me..... it's the motor isn't it? It should be a Honda! 8)

How do I put an image in my post? I can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks,

Scott; change your link to

and that great picture will be on your post.

Here is one of my favorites. Fishtales surfing home from the Santa Barbara Cruise.

Yep, them's the ones!

Thanks Dave!

I do like the SnoopyC photo. But since the resolution is so low it just bugs me. Now, if we had a higher res version...

Oh, and he needs a better place to put his net! Just leaving it leaning against the side of the cabin like that means that it gets in the way!

I like the snoopy C photo as well my vote goes there. :thup As far as his net position, he has an empty rod holder on his rocket launcher, possibly he just takes it down while running, because of wind resisitance. Cool action shot though!!
